Campus Access works with the Office of University Events to ensure electronically controlled entryways and rooms are unlocked for scheduled and approved events. In the event that a facility does not unlock according to the schedule established with University Events, please email campusaccess@uky.edu.

Classroom, AV Support and Student Technology Services

Classroom, AV Support and Student Technology Services provides support for the use of multimedia technology in the education, research and service missions of the University of Kentucky. Traditional classroom equipment and support is provided for the entire campus. We provide audio visual equipment for special events, such as continuing education programs, professional association meetings, and other University related functions, which are held on campus. Equipment must be picked up by faculty or staff from the Classroom, AV Support and Student Technology Services office.

Physical Plant Division (PPD)

Facilities Services offers a number of services to help plan and make your event successful. This includes equipment such as, tables, chairs, staging, trash and recycling bins and trash removal services for individuals or groups hosting events on campus. The information found on our website is designed to guide you in ordering these services, providing the detail and pricing method for each service. Production Services

Production Services provides sound, lighting, and video projection support for all kinds of events on campus, both large and small. From concerts to lectures, movies to plays, fashion shows to press conferences, and everything in between, we provide the technical support you need to make your program a success. Please email EventProduction@uky.edu or call 859-257-6617 to find out how we can help you with your event. Requests for user services can be made online.

Purchasing/Approved Caterers

The mission of the Purchasing Division (including Central Purchasing, Hospital Purchasing, and Capital Construction Procurement) is to provide service and support, in a legal and professional manner, to purchase quality goods and services at the best value to the University Community. Risk Management

The University of Kentucky has a dedicated Risk Management Office. Their responsibilities include:

To implement and use a risk management process to identify, measure, and control or finance risks of loss;the most cost efficient methods will be selected and these will be monitors andadjusted as needed
To climate or control practice and conditions that cause loss
To assume or retain risks of loss of a predictable and non-catastrophic nature that will not adversely impact the operating budgets or financial position of the University
To transfer through contract or insurance those catastrophic risks that cannot be appropriately financed internally at an acceptable cost

Student Involvement Box Office

The Student Involvement Box Office is a full-service operation. The Box Office manages ticketing needs for a number of on-campus events, organizations, and venues (excluding Athletics, UK Opera Theatre, UK Theater, and Singletary Center events). The Box Office also acts as a collection hub for DanceBlue donations, DanceBlue dancer fees, Alternative Service Break program fees, and other program and registration-related fees.

The Box Office is located between the main Information Desk of the Bill Gatton Student Center and Auntie Anne's Pretzel Stand. The Box Office is open Monday-Friday 9am-4pm and our online purchasing portal, found here, is available 24/7. For ticket sales or inquiries, contact us at 859-257-TICS.

UK Fire Marshal

The University Fire Marshal handles fire prevention and training, fire suppression systems, fire extinguisher inspection and maintenance, life safety audits, emergency evacuation planning, and building code compliance. This department has the delegated authority for plan review and approval of in-house construction and renovation projects (i.e., non-capital projects which do not exceed a cost of 1,000,000).

UK Police Department

The University of Kentucky Police Department's mission is to promote a safe and secure campus environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors at the University. We will provide quality police services ethically, fairly and equally in partnership with the members of our community. When security is required for an event, UKPD will send a cost estimate to the event sponsor primary contact. The cost center number entered on the request form will be used to bill charges.
